Our MISSION
Immigrant Defenders Law Center (ImmDef) is a next-generation, 501(c)3 social justice law firm that defends our immigrant communities against injustices in the immigration court system. We believe that the right to counsel in deportation proceedings is a necessary step towards ensuring due process for all. Our model of universal representation is built on this principle. It is our long‐term goal to ensure that no immigrant is forced to go to court alone.

immdef & partner organizations call on ice to protect adelanto detention population
We join Southern California immigrant legal service providers to demand that ICE immediately release all individuals detained at Adelanto to protect them and our communities from COVID-19. On March 10, the LA Times confirmed four detainees were under observation for the infection. ICE must immediately take preventative, proactive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic as they are wholly responsible for protecting the health and well being of its nearly 2,000 person population.
