Post-Bar Legal Fellow

With support from California ChangeLawyers®, Immigrant Defenders Law Center seeks to hire a Post-Bar Legal Fellow to be placed in our Litigation and Advocacy team and work in conjunction with our legal services teams and help support ImmDef’s work.

Case Management Associate

In response to the current crisis of family separation, detention and need for legal representation, ImmDef is now hiring additional legal and administrative staff. ImmDef seeks a full-time Case Management Associate to support our attorneys who provide legal representation to children and adults in the immigration removal system.

DYEP Program Associate

Riverside

Reporting to the DYEP Program Coordinator (DYEP PC), the DYEP Program Associate is primarily responsible for providing information to detained minors about their rights in the U.S. Additionally, the DYEP Program Associate is responsible for better preparing detained minors for the immigration court process and assisting in acquiring pro bono legal representation.

Managing Attorney

In response to the current crisis of family separation, detention and need for legal representation, ImmDef is now hiring additional legal and administrative staff. ImmDef seeks a full-time Managing Attorney. As a member of ImmDef’s management team, the Managing Attorney will have the opportunity to help develop and advance our mission-driven organization. This position will help manage ImmDef’s Locally-Funded Initiatives (LFI) program, a program aimed to provide removal defense representation to Los Angeles County, Long Beach, Santa Ana, and Inland Empire residents.

Call for Proposals: Equal Justice Works Fellowship

San Diego

ImmDef has a particular interest in hosting a Fellow/Project that will focus on cross border issues, including the Migration Protection Protocols Program (“MPP”), detention advocacy issues affecting the cross-border region, and projects related to the defense of Black migrants and protection of families and children at the border.

Staff Attorney

Los Angeles

ImmDef is seeking a full-time Staff Attorney for our Adult Representation Project to provide fearless and zealous advocacy to clients in immigration removal proceedings. The Staff Attorney will work under the direct supervision of a Managing Attorney and in collaboration with our entire legal team. Our attorneys receive support from paralegals, administrative assistants and case managers. This is a rewarding and exciting position where the successful applicant will be engaged in cutting edge immigration litigation.

Paralegal

Los Angeles

Reporting to the Paralegal Coordinator, the Paralegal is primarily responsible for legal support for ImmDef Staff Attorneys and Managing Attorneys. The Paralegal is also responsible for providing case support for Legal Directors as needed.
