Staff Attorney - Family Unity Project

Los Angeles, California

The Staff Attorney will be primarily responsible for providing direct deportation removal defense representation. Clients may include detained adults or unaccompanied minors or both. The Staff Attorney will work under the direct supervision of a Managing Attorney and in collaboration with their fellow attorneys. Support for the Staff Attorney comes from paralegals, administrative assistants and case managers.

Reporting to the Paralegal Coordinator, the Paralegal is primarily responsible for legal support for ImmDef Staff Attorneys and Managing Attorneys. The Paralegal is also responsible for providing case support for Legal Directors as needed.

Staff Attorney - Adult Representation Project

Los Angeles, California

ImmDef is seeking a full-time Staff Attorney for our Adult Representation Project to provide fearless and zealous advocacy to clients in immigration removal proceedings. The Staff Attorney will work under the direct supervision of a Managing Attorney and in collaboration with our entire legal team. Our attorneys receive support from paralegals, administrative assistants and case managers. This is a rewarding and exciting position where the successful applicant will be engaged in cutting edge immigration litigation.

DYEP Program Associate

Riverside, California

Reporting to the DYEP Program Coordinator (DYEP PC), the DYEP Program Associate is primarily responsible for providing information to detained minors about their rights in the U.S. Additionally, the DYEP Program Associate is responsible for better preparing detained minors for the immigration court process and assisting in acquiring pro bono legal representation.

The DYEP Program Associate regularly travels to local shelters to provide service to ImmDef clients.
