In an interview with KPBS, our Managing Attorney, Margaret Cargioli, sheds light on the desperation experienced by individuals seeking asylum that are currently stranded in Mexico's most dangerous cities. ImmDef has joined a coalition of legal advocacy organizations who have filed a lawsuits to end the inhumane “Remain in Mexico” program, which has sent over 60,000 asylum-seekers back to Mexico since its implementation in early 2019.
