Asylum and MPP update 2/18/21 - Informe de asilo y MPP 18/02/21

DHS: El Departamento de Seguridad Nacional (DHS) anunció un plan para procesar a las personas elegibles que habían sido obligadas a regresar a México bajo los Protocolos de Protección al Migrante (MPP) y tienen casos ACTIVOS pendientes ante la Oficina Ejecutiva de Revisión de Inmigración (EOIR). A partir del 19 de febrero, el DHS comenzará la fase uno de un esfuerzo para procesar de manera segura y eficaz a las personas en la frontera suroeste.

DHS: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced a plan to process eligible individuals who had been forced to return to Mexico under the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) and have pending ACTIVE cases before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). Beginning on February 19, DHS will start phase one of an effort to safely and effectively process individuals at the southwest border.
